I am gone for a few weeks, and I hear the upset of John M. leaving. Now, I like Rancid, but I'm irritated to hear Matt Freeman refer to Social D as his "side project".. um.. Social D is not a side project to Rancid..
Now that all that's left is Mike Ness, it doesn't even seem like Social Distortion anymore..

I agree that it don't seem like Social D anymore but it aint gonna last much longer unfortuenetly after the tour for the new album. Probably gonna be a time for all the people who are interested in Mike's solo projects.

We understand it's a side project for a guy with his own band, but some of us longtime SD aficionados would've loved to see someone with solid commitment to Social Distortion's future fill John's shoes.
Regardless, I plan to live in the moment! I think we can rest assured the music will be as hot as ever! I'll be seeing them at Street Scene in a few days, and I'm looking forward to a smashing show!
